March 1st - Common MCRO Nominating Conveniont Questions

MIDDLESEX COUNTY REPUBLICAN ORGANIZATION NOMINATING CONVENTION INFORMATION

I have received a number of questions regarding the details of becoming a voting delegate at the MCRO Convention on March 27th. Any individual who is a registered Republican in Middlesex County by February 25th, who completes a sign up form and submits it with the $10.00 registration fee by the deadline of March 13th, will be allowed to vote. If the person is presently a county committeeperson, and properly signs up, he or she will be assured of a full vote. Additional registered Republicans who sign up may have a full vote, or may only have a partial vote, if the delegate attendance from the particular municipality exceeds the number of delegates slots allocated to that municipality.

You can find a sign up form on the Middlesex County Republican Organization website at: www.middlesexgop.com/convention2010.html. This form, when completed, should be turned in through your municipal chairman by the noted deadline.

As of this writing, there are potential contests for most offices: Congress 6th Congressional District, Congress 12th Congressional District, Freeholder, Sheriff and County Clerk, so come and meet the candidates and help make the decisions as to which candidates will run on the MCRO “organization line” in the June primary.

BUY POPCORN AND HELP THE BOY SCOUTS

When you are buying presents - or presents for yourself, I would like you to consider buying popcorn and support the scouts at the same time. You can now buy on line by visiting www.orderpopcorn.com and when the home page comes up, there is a space that reads “Enter Order Key” In that space please enter TEV4T3E. This is my special order key that allows the tracking of the sales generated from my efforts. This will take you to a new page where you can purchase all varieties and types of popcorn and other edibles, such as Trail Mix, Chocolatey Crunch, etc.). If you forget my order key number, you can shop without a key. Just make sure that when you select a council to receive credit, you select “NJ” and then: “Dayton: Central New Jersey Council.” (The Central New Jersey Council includes most or all of Middlesex, Mercer, Hunterdon and Warren Counties, and small portions of Somerset and other adjacent counties.)
